Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy sets out the refund, cancellation, and deferral terms for educational services, digital revision materials, and clinical mock examinations provided by MedicToUK Ltd ("MedicToUK", "we", "us", or "our").
1. Statutory Rights & Legal Framework
MedicToUK Ltd complies with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your legal rights under UK consumer protection laws are not affected by any provision in this policy.
Because MedicToUK Ltd delivers both immediate digital content (such as on-demand video packages, online case sets, and timer tools) and capacity-restricted live clinical mock events (involving hospital venue hire, consultant examiners, patient honoraria, and professional role-players), different cancellation and refund provisions apply to each category of service as detailed below.
2. Digital Products & On-Demand Subscriptions
Digital products include our on-demand video lecture sets, clinical case banks, deep-dive webinars, digital revision notes, and digital timers.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase of digital content within 14 calendar days of purchase ("the Cooling-Off Period") without giving any reason, provided you have not accessed, downloaded, streamed, or logged into the digital materials.
Express Waiver upon Immediate Access
In accordance with Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you request immediate access to digital content by logging into the portal, streaming videos, downloading revision guides, or accessing protected station material within the 14-day cooling-off window:
- You acknowledge and expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content; and
- You acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel and receive a refund is lost once downloading or streaming begins.
Technical Faults & Quality Guarantee
If digital content purchased from MedicToUK Ltd is corrupted, inaccessible, or proven technically defective and our technical support team cannot resolve the issue within 48 hours of your written notification, you are entitled to a full or proportionate refund in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
3. Live Courses & In-Person Mock Examinations
Our live courses (such as the 2-Day Hybrid MRCPCH Clinical Mock Exam Course held online and on-site at hospital clinical facilities like CDC Bedford) operate with strictly limited candidate quotas (often 1:1 or 2:1 consultant-to-candidate ratios). Substantial non-recoverable commitments are incurred well in advance, including venue hire, NHS consultant rotas, patient honoraria, and actor role-players.
Candidate-Initiated Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your registration for a live course or mock exam, the following cancellation schedule applies based on the date we receive your written cancellation notice at info@medictouk.com:
| Notice Period | Refund Entitlement | Alternative Option |
|---|---|---|
| More than 28 days before course start | Full refund less £50 administrative fee | Free transfer to next scheduled diet (subject to availability) |
| Between 14 and 28 days before course start | 50% refund of course fee | Transfer to next diet subject to £75 rescheduling fee |
| Less than 14 days before course start | No refund (100% cancellation charge) | Full refund less £50 fee IF place is successfully resold from waiting list |
| Failure to attend ("No Show") or late arrival | No refund | No transfer or deferral available |
Exceptional Circumstances (Compassionate Grounds)
If you are prevented from attending due to documented illness (such as acute medical emergency or hospital admission) or personal bereavement, you must contact us immediately prior to the course start date with supporting medical certification. At the sole discretion of the Directors of MedicToUK Ltd, we may offer a complimentary transfer of your booking to a subsequent exam diet without penalty.
4. Cancellations or Alterations by MedicToUK Ltd
While every effort is made to operate all scheduled courses and mock circuits, MedicToUK Ltd reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the format of an event due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including, but not limited to: hospital emergency closures, clinical redeployment of NHS consultant examiners, infectious disease outbreaks, severe travel disruption, or extreme weather).
In the unlikely event that MedicToUK Ltd cancels a course:
- You will be offered an immediate 100% full refund of all registration fees paid; or
- You may elect to transfer your registration to the rescheduled date or alternative course diet without additional cost.
5. 1-to-1 Advisory & Portfolio Pathway Consultations
For bespoke 1-to-1 coaching, CESR/Portfolio Pathway reviews, and mock interview sessions:
- Rescheduling: Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' advance notice without charge.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the agreed consultation slot are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 12 hours or missed appointments ("no shows") are non-refundable as consultant faculty time is reserved.
6. Refund Processing Method & Timelines
To submit a cancellation or refund request, please email our administration team:
